If I were to wish for one thing to change in my life, that would be to overcome procrastination. It is not that I cannot do what I need to do, because I can, and when I do it, I do it well. It is just that I procrastinate until it is almost too late. So, today, 10/10/2009, I commit to learn about procrastination and myself, and to overcome it. I am a Getting Things Done (GTD) apologetic at heart. I want to practice what I believe in. David Allen, here I come!
Below are some posts I have read, documents and apps I have downloaded today:
1. Ask The Coach – Overcoming Procrastination [Steven Aitchson's blog.]
2. “I Will Not Procrastinate” – a New Year Resolution [at Immigrant Money]
3. To Do List v. Next Actions List [at GDT forum]
4. Solutions to procrastinating on weekly reviews [at GDT forum]
5. GTDAgenda [at GTDAgenda]
6. Free GTD articles [at Davidco.com]
7. Personal Development a Little Bit at a Time [at alittlebetter.net]
To (re)read in the future:
8. Personal Development for Smart People [at stevepavlina.com]
9. 7 Habits of Highly Effective People – [at StephenCovey.com]
10. Your Money or Your Life – [at yourmoneyoryourlife.com]
It is my hope that in addition to becoming a person who gets things done, I will become a happier and better person in the process. It is my intention to become financially independent at some point. It is my intention to live happily with God, family, friends, and people, in general, and myself.
So help me God!
